“I am extremely happy with my son’s progress at Moorfield. He seems like a completely different child. He’s happier, more engaged and will often come home and share what he has done each day. it is such a change from the anxious, depressed person he was before he moved to Moorfiel. Thank you so much to all the staff.”

Admissions Statement and Referral
All children are entitled to a Full Time Equivalent Education. MLC works in partnership with LA’s to provide this with children missing from education(CME) to fulfil the statutory entitlement and guidance.
We work in partnership with the LA and have a number of students who are dual registered through other schools.
The continuity of education is important for young people to ensure equality, continuity of engagement and inclusion. Following a referral being received at Moorfield to the start of provision for the young person concerned will be no more than 5 days.
Our referral process involves a thorough assessment and planning procedure with the relevant professionals enabling staff to develop an effective individual education plan with the young person. We will endeavour to work closely with families throughout the referral and assessment process to ensure engagement and support is encouraged.
A risk assessment will be requested from the current education provision.
